We are expanding our Data & AI team with a passionate AI Agent Engineer who can help us unlock the full potential of Microsoft’s Copilot, Azure Foundry and Azure AI technologies for our clients.

As an AI Agent Engineer, you will design and implement AI agent architectures that operate securely, autonomously, and reliably in enterprise environments. You will develop AI copilots and orchestrated agents using Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, and Semantic Kernel, while implementing secure, scalable interactions through Microsoft Cloud Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication standards. You will be responsible for turning concepts into working solutions that run in Microsoft 365, Teams, web apps, and enterprise APIs.

What do you bring with you?

  • Build and deploy intelligent agents using:
    o Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, LangChain
    o Semantic Kernel for orchestration and agent memory
    o Microsoft Cloud Protocol (MCP) for secure agent interactions
    o Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication for multi-agent collaboration

  • Develop APIs and backend services in .NET (C#) or Python to support agent
    operations.

  • Integrate Agents into Copilots, Teams, and other business-critical platforms.

  • Set up secure communication channels and identity flows using Azure AD, OAuth2, and
    MCP trust models.

  • Define and optimize prompt chains, agent behavior, context memory, and fallback logic.

  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and exception handling for production agents.

  • Collaborate with AI consultants, architects, and UI/UX teams to deliver end-to-end
    solutions.
    Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong development experience with .NET C# (and Python)

  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft cloud platform, including Azure AI Foundry, Copilot
    Studio, OpenAI integration

  • Solid proficiency in Semantic Kernel or similar orchestration frameworks

  • Solid understanding of MCP and A2A communication principles.

  • Familiarity with LLM chaining, memory handling, prompt optimization, and token
    management.

  • Proven experience integrating with Microsoft Graph, enterprise APIs, and cloud
    authentication mechanisms.

  • Experience with Azure Functions, Key Vault, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions /
    Azure DevOps).

  • Bonus: knowledge of Power Platform, Teams app development, or AI governance
    patterns.
    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, AI, or
    related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in cloud-based software development or AI solution engineering.

  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., AI-102, AZ-204, Azure AI Engineer Associate) are a plus.

  • Fluent in English; Dutch is an advantage.
